My nom-de-plume is Odyn PenDragon.

In the Summer of 1982, between my first and second year at a prestigious Art Institute, I decided to give myself a project. I happened upon a copy of “The Encyclopedia of The Tarot”, and from there decided to render a deck myself. But it became quickly evident that Maybe I Should Learn A Little About These Cards before any formal renderings.
I had absolutely no idea of the Stone that I was to Roll Away with that simple-yet-critical decision!

There were two concurrent events at the transition of 1995-96.
I had myself Ordained as a Minister with the Universal Life Church, as a gift to myself for what I perceived as my achievement up to then. In “celebration”, I crafted the equivalent of a “Graduate Thesis” — which I call My Ordination Statement — laying out a synopsis of my mental construct at the time.
At that same time, I was being taught how to Swordfight by members of the German Clan of the Renaissance Faire, and some of the Celt Clan took to me as well. One of the Honored Sisters began calling me ‘Odin’, and that became my name to the collective, and to surrounding associates, including the security forces of the Faire.
PenDragon has a double meaning. It is my pen-name, and the Dragon is a symbol of The Universal Life. It is also the legendary surname of the man who sired the bastard child who would eventually become King Arthur.
